Cat Vs. PET Bottles

by Hiroki Yanagisawa on February 21, 2009 6:11 PM

There are many tales in Japan. My mom an grandma told those stories when I was ... let's see pre-teen. The story tends to carry over the generations and it seems that they do possess value as much as Haruki Murakami's story, because of its longevity.

The same analogy applies to an urban legend, and let's take a look at one of the samples here from Japan.
"When placed at the gate of your flat/house water filled PET bottles are good for averting cats."

Some people say that it's good because of the water's reflection, but in fact, this is not the case. But hey, I guess what an urban legend is all about -- it's not the legitimacy, it's the history.

Here is a new version. Works as a water pot.

This one looks scary. I'm sure this is going to be good to avert robbers.
